Hi, I'm the Author

My name is Daniel H. Jacobsen and I’m a dedicated and highly motivated software developer with a masters engineering degree within the field of ICT.

I have through many years of constantly learning and adapting to new challenges, gained a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to stay up to date with new technologies, tools and utilities.

The purpose of this blog is to share both my learnings and knowledge with other likeminded developers as well as illustrating how these topics can be taught in a different and alternative manner.

Seeds for the Future

M.Sc. Eng - ICTE

With a bachelor in Innovation & Business, focusing on a well-rounded understanding of multiple fields of engineering, I wanted to narrow my focus to the field of ICT. The Innovative Communication Technologies and Entrepreneurship program at Aalborg University in Copenhagen granted the opportunity to focus on ICT as well as continuing the studies of the business environments related to engineering and entrepreneurship.

During my master, I decided to specialize within the field of Machine Learning and Internet of Things. These two specializations synergize well, as IoT products are often utilized to generate large amounts of data. With the tools and skills acquired from the field of Data Science, this data can be converted into valuable information for decision-making.

B.Sc. - Innovation & Business

My Bachelor in Innovation & Business have provided me with many valuable tools and skills useful within the fields of engineering as well as business. Having knowledge of the inner-working of the business environment and being able to support this knowledge with a well-rounded understanding of a variety of engineering fields, will put me in a great position for my future.

IT Architect - Certification

With a continuously growing interest for the field of software development, it only felt natural to dive even further. I decided to do this by achieving the IT architect certification.

The certification is based on the international TOGAF framework and provides me an in-depth understanding of requirement management and how to fulfill them through multiple layers of system design.

OCA Certification

After three months at Capgemini Sogeti Danmark A/S working as a Java developer, I thought that it was time to solidify my experience. Therefore, I chose to complete the OCA (Oracle Certified Associate) exam.

My first professional certification, but definitely not my last. 😁

Bachelor study - Exchange

A six months Erasmus exchange semester at the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI) in Austria. Some of the courses included in the Industrial Engineering Program were Managerial Accounting, Automation Engineering, Strategic and Operative Marketing etc. In conclusion, an educational exchange study, providing experience on how to work and cooperate in an international environment.
